The film was made at a unique point in history, that of a political re-ordering of Europe, dealing with ideas about borders at the beginning of the 21st century. Five directors from Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia present their view and vision of nation, identity and Europe. All five directors embark on a journey through landscapes and mentalities, an encounter with people living through an upheaval. Across the border, from the so-called old Europe to the new, where growing differences between cultures, peoples, lifestyles and pace are becoming increasingly visable. |
